Brexit advice for housewares retailers and suppliers

With the Brexit transition period due to end soon, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) is hosting webinars to help key sectors, including the housewares industry, to prepare for change.

They are designed to guide businesses through the changes, which include how to import and export goods, the process for hiring people from the EU, and how to provide services in EU markets.

Retail was the focus for the webinar on October 14, while consumer goods is the sector addressed on October 22.

The government has also launched an online transition checker for businesses and individuals at www.gov.uk/transition
