IndyBest rates non-stick frying pans

The Independent’s consumer products testing team has been putting non-stick frying pans through their paces, with Ninja, Salter, Dexam and Samuel Groves making the cut.

The team at IndyBest cooked a variety of dishes including steak, pancakes and a fry-up to judge how evenly food was cooked, how well any non-stick surfaces cleaned and how good the food tasted at the end. They also considered the weight of the pan, how much oil was needed and how easy it was to clean afterwards.

The best frying pans for 2025, according to IndyBest are:

Best overall – Ninja zerostick stainless steel 30cm frying pan

Best budget buy – Salter megastone collection non-stick forged aluminium frying pan

Best stainless option – Dexam Supreme 26cm non-stick frypan

Best griddle pan – Samuel Groves 26cm Britannia cast iron square griddle

Our Place, ProCook, Kuhn Rikon, Le Creuset and Joseph Joseph also made the list. To read the full reviews, head to The Independent.
