Kilner goes nutty

Recognising the rise of plant-based diets, Kilner’s new products for 2020 (from The Rayware Group) include a Nut Drink Making Set, which makes it easy to create drinks from nuts, oats, coconut or soya.

The set from Kilner includes two jars, a silicone splashguard that prevents spills during blending and a stainless steel filter plunger, which separates the liquid from the nut pulp. It will be previewed on The Rayware Group’s stand at Ambiente (Hall 1.2), along with a host of other launches from the Group.

* According to new research published by Mintel last week, the proportion of meat eaters in the UK who have reduced or limited the amount of meat they consume has risen from 28% in 2017 to 39% in 2019.  Sales of meat-free foods have grown by an impressive 40% (from £582 million in 2014 to an estimated £816 million in 2019) and are forecasted to reach in excess of £1.1 billion by 2024.
