Mad March Million raises nearly £6,500

Teams from Progressive Housewares (PH) magazine and PR Direct walked or ran alongside leading hardware companies including Calor and Mannock Build for the Mad March Million Step Challenge, with seven teams collectively raising nearly £6,500 for The Rainy Day Trust.

The charity is working to alleviate UK poverty and help people associated with the housewares and hardware industry who are now struggling, financially and/or with stress and mental health issues.

The PH team – aka the Progressive Pedometers – carried on walking way past a million to reach 1,643,064 steps collectively by March 31.

“A huge thank you to everyone that supported Progressive Pedometers, and thanks to The Rainy Day Trust’s Bryan Clover for thinking up the initiative to get us all outdoors!’ said PH publishing director Rob Willis.

It’s not too late to add to the funds, with any amount welcome; go to justgiving.com/fundraising/phmmm
