PH’s Rob Willis becomes Rainy Day Trust trustee

Rob Willis, director and co-owner at Max Publishing – publisher of leading trade title Progressive Housewares and HousewaresNews.net and organiser of the Excellence in Housewares Awards – has been appointed as a trustee for the industry charity, the Rainy Day Trust.

Ceo Bryan Clover expressed the Rainy Day Trust’s delight on welcoming Rob on board, giving the charity a unique opportunity to reach more businesses, and help more people, in the housewares sector. “We have worked with Rob and Progressive Housewares for a number of years, and they have always been strong and loyal supporters of the Charity,” commented Bryan. “With Rob as a trustee, this really will help boost our presence in housewares, ultimately reaching and helping more of our colleagues in the sector. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship!”

Rob aims to “use his address book as one the housewares sector’s media folks” – to bring a particular emphasis on supplier engagement and industry awareness of the charity’s work.

“I have long-admired the work that Bryan and his charity colleagues undertake to support those who need it,” Rob enthused. “I was thrilled to be asked to join as a trustee and my aim will be to refresh the understanding, enthusiasm and support from suppliers towards the Rainy Day Trust. That job starts now [so expect a call]!”
