Meanwhile Jenny Handley, head of marketing at T&G expressed the company’s delight on being a finalist for Excellence in Marketing. She elaborated on what makes the nomination so special this year: “We are all as an industry (as well as a country) this year highlighting the high street, supporting the independents and encouraging #shoplocal, so, it is so nice as an independent supplier to be recognised. We are not a corporate company, we have no foreign investment, and we are a UK family run business with nearly all our products designed here in the UK. We are also a local employer and are trying hard to punch above our weight against companies that have a portfolio of foreign brands/products. So to receive this nomination is the icing on the cake for a very hard year for all of us, as this is the year we celebrate our 45 years in the industry, established in 1975 by Patrick, so thank you!”

Haus Marketing and Distribution is also in a celebratory mood. The company is a finalist in each of the three Supplier Awards as well as with six products that are EIH 2020 Product finalists across five categories. Haus’ md Paul Shelley shared his joy with stockists, stating: “This is amazing news for us and our respected brands. It’s refreshing to be recognised for our continued hard work and effort that we all input from our offices in Stoke-On-Trent.

“2020 saw the introduction of many new ranges from our brands, each incorporating unique selling points that differed from the crowd. We were spoilt for choice when submitting our applications for the awards, and are so pleased that the judging panel loved the products from our brands as much as we do.

“We want to thank all of you for your support over the year; we couldn’t have done it without you! Bring on the 9th December where we will take to our computer screens to see the announcement of the winners!”
