‘Take five’ with Fenwick’s Evelyn Spencer

Evelyn Spencer, Le Creuset consultant at Fenwick Brent Cross has worked at the store since 2000, and has been in her current role since 2015. She was one of the six finalists in the Excellence in Housewares Awards’ Retail Employee of the Year 2018. Housewares News put five questions to this retail champion:

What do you like most about your job?

“Everything – the products, the staff and the store (I look after Le Creuset but cover other areas in Cookshop too).”

 

How would you describe good customer service?

“Have a smile on your face, meet and great every customer and find out what their needs are.”

 

What do you like most about housewares?

“We cater for all needs – we have everything for everyone. With such a wide range of stock, we have lots of products that people can’t find elsewhere.”

 

What is your best piece of work related advice?

“Know what you’re selling inside out so you can share your knowledge with staff and customers.”
