Tefal launches new Jamie Oliver air fryer

The new Jamie Oliver by Tefal Dual Easy Fry & Grill features a 60:40 split drawer configuration to make cooking easier.

Following the success of Jamie’s Air-Fryer Meals which aired late last year, Tefal has launched the Jamie Oliver by Tefal Dual Easy Fry and Grill Stainless Steel air fryer, made in collaboration with the renowned British chef.

Since joining forces in 2003, the partnership has evolved from top quality pots and pans to all cooking categories in 2021. Just last year, Tefal worked with the chef on Jamie’s Air-Fryer Meals, a two-part primetime series, offering inspiration on getting the most out of Tefal’s state-of-the-art Dual Easy Fry & Grill Air Fryer.

The launch of Jamie Oliver by Tefal Dual Easy Fry & Grill air fryer follows the success of the show and alongside the launch, Jamie has developed a new cookbook, Easy Air Fryer, with recipes developed in tandem with the Tefal Dual Air Fryer.

The new dual drawer air fryer is designed with the home cook in mind and is equipped with two drawers in a 60:40 split that work independently, one with a 5.2L capacity and the other, 3.1L. The 3.1L drawer is the ideal size for a side dish, while using both drawers allows users to cook two different meals at the same time.

By combining both drawers, large meals can easily be whipped up serving up to eight people.

This air fryer also cooks meals 40% faster* than a conventional oven and saves up to 70% more energy**.  What’s more, little to no oil is needed, resulting in 99% less fat needed than during traditional frying***.

Christophe Leblan, managing director UK & Ireland, Tefal said: “We invented the first air fryer more than 17 years ago and it’s wonderful to see how they have revolutionised people’s cooking habits and continue to be a must-have kitchen gadget in homes across the UK.

“Nearly 20 years later we’re delighted to be launching our dual drawer model in partnership with Jamie Oliver, who we’re proud to say we started working with before the invention of air fryers.

“Throughout our 20-year plus partnership with Jamie, we’ve brought out top-quality products together and most recently a TV show – Jamie’s Air Fryer Meals – which has led us to launching the Jamie Oliver by Tefal Dual Easy Fry & Grill alongside his new cookbook, to make it easier for people to cook flavoursome recipes at home. We’re incredibly proud of how our partnership with Jamie has evolved as cooking trends and developments have come and gone and we can’t wait to see what the next 20 years holds.”

Jamie Oliver added: “Air fryers are such a versatile piece of kit and my Jamie Oliver by Tefal Dual Air Fryer will be a really useful addition to any kitchen. The beauty of having two drawers is that you can have two things going at once to create an epic meal.

“Think jacket spuds in the big drawer and smoky beans in the small one, or a seasonal soup on one side and cheesy soldiers for dunking on the other. The air fryer really can do all kinds of wonderful things, from teriyaki pork ribs to a pear and blackberry crumble, I just know you’re going to have fun with it.”
