Excitement is building up for the recently announced Excellence in Housewares Awards event to be held virtually on December 9. The ceremony will be free to attend, and dedicated Session (or ‘Party’) Rooms will enable networking, celebration and chat between industry partners, customers and colleagues before and after the Awards presentations.
“This looks set to be the biggest Excellence in Housewares Awards ever, bringing together retailers, suppliers and industry figures from all around the UK and internationally. With its timing in the festive weeks at the end of this tough year, this is our chance to come together for one evening for the industry’s own Christmas party!” stated Rob Willis, publishing director and co-owner of The Excellence in Housewares Awards.
Using an exciting digital platform, The EIH Awards event will accommodate a main stage area where the awards ceremony will be hosted as well as its series of Session Rooms. These Rooms will enable people to ‘meet’ for live video chats and drinks with colleagues and friends, prior to and after the ceremony. EIH Awards category sponsors will have their own Session Rooms, but all housewares companies are invited to book one (or more) too!
Each Session Room holds up to 20 individual screens. Guests can pop in and out and visit any number of rooms with hosts able to elect to either have their Session Room as a private ‘closed’ room, moderate who comes in, or have it as a ‘free-for-all’.
All Session Rooms can be accessed from the ‘home’ area of the site via an easy ‘search’ function or by clicking on the host’s logo or room name. Session Rooms can be booked now by contacting John Barry on 0203 375 2660 or johnb@max-publishing.co.uk
Meanwhile, with more EIH finalists due to be announced next week, the recently announced Product Finalists have been sharing their happiness. “We are chuffed to bits to hear about our nomination as a finalist in the Excellence In Housewares Awards 2020 and we are looking forward to the digital awards event in December,” commented Marcus Lux, head of export and business development at Gastroback.
At Meyer, marketing director Carl Wright said: “Thank you for the recognition in being named in the Eco category at this year’s awards. In such challenging times its important that innovation and consumer trends continue to drive our industry, in particular those that have sustainability at their heart”
Shayna Bowles, marketing manager at Creative Party and Anniversary House was delighted to comment: “A big thanks to you and all the judges. We’re spreading the great news among our customers, and, of course, we can’t wait for the digital awards event!”
