Ultimate Products: Why I sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards

Jenny Stewart, commercial director at Ultimate Products, explains why the company supports the awards.

Why do you sponsor the Excellence in Housewares Awards?

Jenny: “At Ultimate Products, we know the importance of supporting these kind of events as it provides a real opportunity to celebrate a busy and exciting year of working within the housewares sector; recognising the successes and the hard work of both our own team and the wider industry.

“It’s a great opportunity for both customers and colleagues to get together to network, celebrate and have some fun. We love that the event give us the chance to recognise the brilliant innovation, newness and ideas that come from our industry – it’s inspiring.”

Why did Ultimate choose Best Supermarket Retailer as the category it would sponsor?

Jenny: “As Ultimate Products, we’ve chosen to sponsor ‘Best Supermarket Retailer’ as we want to recognise those retailers who we know really understand serviceability and acknowledge the work we undertake together to get the best products onto the shelves. We feel this award gives us the chance to recognise the retailers that go the extra mile to make supplying product worthwhile.

“This year, Beldray is sponsoring the ‘Best Department Store – Independent’ award, which is a great chance for us to also give recognition to those independent retailers too, acknowledging their hard work and the bespoke experience they offer to their consumers.”

What’s your favourite thing about the awards?

Jenny: “I love the opportunity to catch up with customers and mingle with industry peers – we get to share stories and celebrate one another’s wins. It’s a great chance to network and to catch up with people who I have known for a long time, as well as meet new faces. It’s a highlight of my calendar.”

Why do you think housewares companies and retailers should attend the awards?

Jenny: “I’d recommend the awards for anyone throughout the housewares sector, both suppliers and retailers. It’s a great chance to meet people who know the industry well and have a jolly good time. It’s a great industry and worth supporting and building together. Working with Rob Willis and his team is a joy and I know he welcomes newcomers with his arms wide open, so if you’re not already entering, taking a ticket or sponsoring – get in touch, he’s there to help the industry do the best it can.”
