Meanwhile, on Tuesday July 16, designer Sophie Conran (whose design work includes her long-established Portmeirion tableware and Arthur Price cutlery) will be helping delegates to develop a confident approach to colour and design.

“This year, we’ve definitely upped the inspiration factor in our ShopTalk line-up, so I’d implore all visitors to make some time to sit in on a session or two—after all, the show is as much about enhancing the retail industry through shared learnings as it is about great buying opportunities,” states show director Louise Morris. “Whether you’re an independent store or a seasoned department store buyer, everyone can learn something from our programme.”

Meanwhile, this year’s line-up of exhibitors showing home and housewares include: Portmeirion Group, Creative Tops from KitchenCraft, English Tableware Company/David Mason Design, Forma House, NJ Products, Coppertop Croft, Liga, Nobile Glassware, Legacy, Dartington Crystal, Designed in Colour, Half Moon Bay, Radar, Nkuku, Repeat Repeat, The Beeswax Wrap, Blue Eyed Sun and Valerie Graham.

Home & Gift 2019 takes place in the ground of the Majestic Hotel and Harrogate Convention Centre.
