UPGS raises over £21,000 for charity of the year

Oldham Foodbank was Ultimate Products’ chosen charity of the year from August 2022 to July 2023.

Throughout the year, the Ultimate Products charity committee organised a range of events to raise money for the charity, including Manchester 10K, a Lake District, bake-offs and raffles, as well as regular food donations.

One of the highlights of the year was the Manchester 10K. 52 employees took part, and the team raised a total of £5,000 in sponsorship – enough to feel 200-250 people for a week.

In total, Ultimate Products has provided 196 hours of volunteering time, donated 1,600kg of food and toiletries and raised a huge £21,133.13.

Oldham Foodbank visited the UP head office in August a cheque for the donation and was joined by the UP charity committee.

Simon Showman, ceo of UPGS, commented: “Supporting our local community is a huge priority for Ultimate Products as part of our ESG commitments. We’re incredibly proud to have donated such a large amount to our local foodbank at a period when people have needed it most.”

This year, Ultimate has chosen K.O.G.S (Keep Our Girls Safe) as its charity of the year, an Oldham-based charity which educates young people on unhealthy relationship, supporting those who have been groomed or exploited.
