2022 gia Top Window Award

All UK home and housewares retailers are invited to enter the gia Top Window Award 2022, with a chance to receive both local and global recognition and positive PR and win a trip to The Inspired Home Show 2023, taking place in Chicago on 4-7 March 2023.

“Whether large or small, UK housewares retailers are brimming with creative talent, so here is your chance to share your windows with the world in this wonderful celebration of inspirational displays,” states Jo Howard, editor of Progressive Housewares. “We will be selecting three outstanding window displays to represent the UK in the global competition for the gia Top Window Award 2022, providing retailers with a chance to win a trip to Chicago, for the gia Awards, The Inspired Home Show and to experience this fabulous city.”

Last year’s inaugural gia Top Window Award 2021 was won jointly by Harrods, UK for its Harrod is Home re-opening windows, and FrancFranc, Japan for its art themed window (both Large Retailer Award winners). The Small Retailer gia Top Window Award 2021 went to Premium Home, Poland for its rainforest window and Cook Inc – The Culinary Store, Argentina for its pasta making display. To be considered for the gia Top Window 2022, retailers will need to email three to five high resolution photos of one of their 2022 window themes by Friday June 17 to PH’s Jo Howard joh@max-publishing.co.uk.

The windows selected from around the world will be judged by the gia expert jurors on: Originality and Creativity (theme, concept, special effects), Merchandise Presentation and Professionalism: Execution and Technical Aspects (lighting, attention to detail, signage, copy).

* The gia Top Window Award 2022 is separate from the gia UK Award, and previous gia winners and Global Honorees can enter their window displays.

* UK entrants to the gia Top Window Award 2022 will also be considered for The Excellence in Housewares Award’s Retail Display Awards (full entry and nomination details to be announced soon).
