Love Island boost for Cambridge mug

Sales have soared for Cambridge (part of Ultimate Product’s own-brand Portobello label) as its Flamingo Travel Mug and serveware and Polynesia (leaf print) tableware are being used in TV’s Love Island villa.

Fans of the hit TV show (in its fifth series and currently airing nightly on ITV2) have spotted and searched for the products as used by contestants and on display in the villa. As a result, Ultimate has seen around 12 months of stock of its Cambridge Flamingo Travel Mug sold in just one week.

While Love Island contestants are enjoying drinking their tea and coffee from the mugs, the products are also appealing to consumers for their eco- credentials – they are made from bamboo fibre.

Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer recently sold out of its flamingo wine glasses after being used on Love Island.
