August issue of PH out now

The August issue of Progressive Housewares is available to read now, packed full of exciting news, features and industry discussion.

Retailers have been offering their feedback on life after lockdown, sharing their view on the products that have not failed to be in demand and the changes made to stores to make customer shopping safe, positive and successful. Similarly, PH’s interaction with the retail community has been stronger than ever in the last few weeks whilst online judging has been taking place for this year’s Excellence In Housewares Awards, slated for the later date of 9 December, though being monitored and ready to adapt to change if needed – there will be finalists and there will be winners.

Screen Shot 2020-08-28 at 11.09.53Elsewhere in this busy issue PH takes a look at the licensed and celebrity endorsed ranges that are working well – a category that has again been recognised with its own award in this year’s program. It’s a shared view that licensed product is a great way to hook consumers into store and the category is so much wider than just Jamie Oliver’s wide smile. Brand awareness is a consumer passion and one such example of this is the ‘Tried, Tested & Trusted’ Good Housekeeping – read this insightful and nostalgic interview here.

As the nation’s homes have turned into amateur bakeries this issue takes a look at the latest innovation, trends and how the industry has and is coping with the much-heightened demand at retail. This is confirmed in this month’s Shelf Portrait wherein Frankie & Johnny’s Cookshop cited Tala Loaf Tins from George East Housewares as a ‘Top 5’ best seller.

All this plus the latest news, Holly’s views from the frontline, updates from Bheta and bira and much more.

Work is already underway on the October edition of Progressive Housewares, a rather special edition which will include all of this year’s Excellence In Housewares Awards finalists plus some other very special new additions. Readership and subscriber rates have increased dramatically over the last few months as retailers are vying for information and new products – if you’re not actively marketing then we really would (politely) suggest you’re missing a trick – get in touch with John Barry to discuss your options. Now is not the time to stay under the radar and Progressive Housewares is there to keep the industry together, talking and doing business.
