One wish from Robert Dyas and Harts of Stur

HousewaresNews.net asked members of this year’s Excellence in Housewares Judging Panel to make ‘one (realistic) wish’ for the housewares industry currently (besides an end to the pandemic).

Louise Lee, senior buyer for kitchen at Robert Dyas confides that her one wish is: “That the supply chain gets back on its feet, so it doesn’t have to play catch up for long.”

When asked, ‘What are you most optimistic about for the housewares industry in 2021?’ Louise hopes that: “The current love for home baking and cooking continues!”

Meanwhile, at Harts of Stur, purchasing director David Conduit says his one wish for housewares is “a strong revival for the independent cookshop – it’s been a tough few months with many not reopening.”

Looking ahead to 2021, David comments: “We are in a strong position to capitalise on the accelerated demand for online consumer purchasing. I think this will continue, and as such we have invested again in increasing our capacity.”
