Barkers’ wraps up for cancer charity

Barkers, Northallerton (winner of Best Department Store – independent) has raised almost £1000 for the Trinity Holistic Centre, part of the Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre at its local hospital, offering support to patients with cancer and other long-term conditions.

Bridie Wilkinson, marketing manager explains: “Each year we offer a Christmas Gift Wrapping service with donations greatly received. In 2020, we decided to raise money for the Trinity Holistic Centre. This charity is very close to our hearts – they offered a lot of support to Charles Barker, our managing director, who sadly passed away last year. Our customers very generously donated almost £1000 to the cause – and I’m sure you will agree that’s a lot of gifts that were wrapped by our hard working team.”
