ProCook ranked among the UK’s Best Workplaces

ProCook has been ranked among the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing (2022) by Great Place to Work, a global authority on workplace culture. ProCook’s 700 employees are invited to take part in an in-depth survey that measured satisfaction levels in several key areas deemed crucial for wellbeing.

With an overall positivity rating of 83%, ProCook scored over 80% in many key focus areas including leadership behaviour and effectiveness, communication, camaraderie and community. Employees felt that management was honest and ethical in its business practices, and that people were treated fairly, regardless of their sexual orientation, race, gender and age.

The survey showed that team morale was high at all levels of the business, with employees mentioning the friendliness of their colleagues, clear lines of communication to support a range of personal and professional challenges, and a welcoming onboarding process for new starters among the top reasons for workplace satisfaction.

ProCook is ranked 45 in the ‘large’ companies section, with another housewares stockist Webbs Garden Centres ranking 63. Housewares supplier Groupe SEB is ranked 67th in the ‘medium’ companies.

To determine the 250 companies on the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list, Great Place to Work analysed thousands of employee surveys from across the UK, assessing people’s holistic experiences of wellbeing at work. Employees gave feedback on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security.

ProCook’s HR & ESG director Sarah Wheatley comments: “We’ve all been aware that ProCook is a ‘great place to work’ for some time and ranking on the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list is validation of what we already knew to be true, but it’s great to see this recognised externally.” She added: “The past two years have been particularly challenging for all employers and we’ve gone to great lengths to ensure our teams are fully supported both at home and in the workplace.”
