Strix reinvents the boil

Exciting launches at last week’s Exclusively Show (June 14-15, Islington Business Design Centre) included the world’s first cordless, auto-switch off induction hob top kettle. The Visione kettle has been developed by Strix – the global leader in kettle safety controls – under the Laica brand, which Strix acquired in 2019.

The prototype for Visione by Laica has already been awarded the German Design Award and Red Dot Design Award 2022. It also attracted considerable interest when on display at the recent Jubliee Event at Claridges, which Strix attended.

“Visione is totally unique, and it is great for both safety and sustainability,” explained Laverne Eldridge, marketing manager, highlighting the kettle’s features. “Visione’s patented Dry Shut Off (DSO) mechanism ensures the plate on the product lifts automatically if the induction kettle is placed on the hob but with no water in it.  A thermal sensor next to the plate senses the excess temperature and automatically triggers the same mechanism that lifts the plate when the water boils.”

The Visione is also easy to fill, featuring an innovative 360-degree funnel fill lid which allows water to be simply dispensed from a tap into the lid without removing it. Moreover, a one-way valve allows the water to drain into the kettle body but does not allow steam to escape.

Strix has launched a crowdfunder campaign hosted by Indiegogo, where investors will be able be able to getearly bird access to Visione with discounts of up to 50% on MRRP for potential retailers, plus exclusive perks.– see Visione Crowdfunder Indiegogo

Harry Kyriacou, Strix’s chief commercial officer acknowledged: “Induction is a growing sector, and we believe we’ve designed a product which allows users to boil water on their induction hob in the safest way possible.”
