Rainy Day Trust announces Mad March Million

Teams can run, jog or walk their steps, in order to get out and about and get to the one million steps mark during March, while being sponsored for their efforts to support the Rainy Day Trust.

Ceo Bryan Clover, explained: “Any activity that involves bilateral movement, using both sides of your brain to coordinate your activity, helps you to process the stresses and strains of the day. And just being outdoors in the fresh air is good for you – away from the dreaded computer screen for a while.

“Maybe get several teams together at work and have a bit of healthy competition between them?”

Participants can register for a £12 a head fee, and will be sent a T-shirt to show they are doing their bit to beat mental health challenges, while also raising valuable funds for the industry charity. Teams will then be invited to set up a JustGiving page to raise sponsorship.

To register your teams, simply email Bryan Clover – bryan@rainydaytrust.org.uk – and start the fundraising.

To make things a little more interesting, there’s a bottle of champagne on offer when your team passes the £1,000 sponsorship mark – and for every £1,000 thereafter – and trays of brownies and other cakey delights will be given to the team that manages the highest average number of steps taken during the challenge.
