Brabantia becomes B Corp certified

The certification is in line with the Dutch interior brand’s goal to make the transition towards 100% circular design by 2035.

Brabantia scored 83.4 in the B Corp certification process, compared to a mdian score for ordinary businesses of 50.9.

Tijn van Elderen, ceo at Brabantia, commented: “As a family business, we do everything we can to leave a better world for the next generation. For example, during production, we strive to use 100% recycled or renewable materials.

“The certification process was intensive, but it has reaffirmed to us how important it is to contribute to a more beautiful world. We are honoured that Brabantia can now be part of this special community of beautiful, leading and sustainable companies.”

Tessa van Soest, director of B Lab Benelux, added: “We are very pleased to welcome Brabantia to the B Corp community. Their intention to work on continuous improvement and their aim for 100% circular design by 2035 are big steps. Congratulations to this beautiful family business.”
