Exclusively reveals next style trend

The Exclusively Show (13 and 14 June, Business Design Centre) has unveiled another of the big style trends for the next 18 months – The new protagonists.

With exhibitors already submitting product for the ‘so on trend’ displays at the show, Phil Pond from Scarlet Opus has unveiled ‘the new protagonists’ – a trend that conveys wellbeing and comfort to counter the negatives of the contemporary world.

New protagonists are into ‘me time’, food, and experiences which make them feel better and are interested in interactions, experiences, brands, products and services which increase confidence, reassure, and make them feel good.

Exclusively has a well-established reputation for predicting the commercial trends in housewares, gift, and SDAs. Working with Scarlet Opus, the show includes trend talks, tours for buyers and displays of products pre-selected as being in tune with the themes and styles for Christmas 2023, and into 2024.

Exclusively chair and chief operating officer of BHETA, Will Jones, said: “Knowing what consumers want next, enables suppliers and buyers to source more of what will sell.  It helps de-risk buying for retailers, informs and inspires merchandising and helps retailers be the best they can be and enjoy a more certain future.”
