KitchenAid Counts Down to its 100th Anniversary

KitchenAid has long been a highly coveted brand when it comes to beautifully made cook’s tools that are built to last.

But did you know that 2019 marks a hundred years since Ohio based engineer Herbert Johnston created a culinary sensation with the release of his first commercial mixer? The ‘H-5’ as it was known was the first home-use stand mixer and took years to perfect.

All those years ago Herbert was driven to create a product that would make life easier in the kitchen, and the same is certainly true today – although these days KitchenAid is also the watchword for everything from cutlery and beautiful cutting boards to some of the best small domestic appliances on the market.

The ingeniously designed mixer is the perfect celebration of a hundred years of baking history, as KitchenAid has cleverly combined the latest technology with heritage-inspired touches that hark back to the 1950s.

Misty Blue’s 4.8L bowl is made from Titanium reinforced ceramic, and is chip, crack and, crazing and stain resistant, as well as being microwave, oven, freezer and dishwasher safe. It also comes with a selection of stylish attachments and a further 15 optional accessories are also available for purchase.
