Brand Showcase is a magnet for media

This year’s Brand Showcase at this week’s Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical (June 11-12, London Business Design Centre) is forecast to have over three times the number of consumer and trade press in attendance compared to 2018, with a consumer reach of well over 5 million from its Influencer attendees alone.

The Showcase (situated in the Media Centre, above Exclusively Electrical) offers a unique opportunity to present key products (an edit of the main show) to leading consumer journalists, influencers and bloggers. Over 300 members of the media have now registered to visit from titles such as Buzzfeed, The Sunday Times, plus leading influencers including ‘This Girl Can Organise’.

Richard Watts, who manages the Brand Showcase, comments: “We are delighted with the enthusiasm by journalists and influencers to attend the Brand Showcase. We have reached out to a wide audience over the last few months, inviting more relevant influencers, consumer and broadcast media than ever before. l am overwhelmed by the level of acceptance and enthusiasm for the event; it is incredibly exciting both for us at Exclusively Shows and the industry as a whole.’’

Expected attendees include (from broadcast media): ITV This Morning, Loose Women and C4 Sunday Brunch, and 45 national press titles including The Sun on Sunday, I weekend, Ideal home, Woman and Home, Good Food, Hello, The Daily Mail, Sainsbury’s Magazine, as well as The London Evening Standard.

Influencers are also expected to be visiting the Brand Showcase in force. A few notable names include: Queen of Clean, Lean Student Chef, Little House in London, Popcorn & Pyjamas, Little Miss Mops, Jottie’s Journal and Bustle.com.

Press comments last year included Jenny Tregoning from Stylist Magazine, who said: “It’s such a great event to have an easy overview of everything that’s out there.” Moreover, Alison Davidson, House Beautiful Magazine commented on: “Some fantastic time-saving solutions to make each day that little bit easier. Having the latest trends grouped together made it so much easier.”

Richard Watts reflects: “We can attribute the growth of the Showcase to its growing reputation within the lifestyle media sector, the unique format we offer and the incredible list of quality exhibitors signing up to be a part of the event, which is now considered the UK’s premier press showcase of housewares, tabletop and small domestic appliance brands.’’

The Showcase inspires many members of the press to track down products on the show floors too.
