AO and Lakeland’s service accolades

Online SDA stockist AO.com has been voted best electricals retailer for customer service in the annual consumer survey published by Which? It was ranked as the sixth best retailer for customer service in the UK with an overall score of 84%. Other electrical retailers featured in the survey included John Lewis at 16 and Argos at 21.

Meanwhile, housewares specialist Lakeland came second in the survey (after First Direct) with a score of 87% and acknowledgement of its helpful and knowledgeable staff. In third place was Marks & Spencer for its homewares and clothing and homewares departments, while Waitrose took joint fourth place.

The survey involved nearly 4,000 consumers who were quizzed on their best and worst experiences of customer service.

AO’s managing director David Lawson commented: “I’m really proud of all our AO’ers who genuinely treat every customer like their gran.  It’s our simple guide to service and must be effective for AO to be the highest ranked electrical retailer in Which?’s annual customer service survey.  We’re grateful to all our customers who took time to vote.”

The list of 100 brands features housewares stockist, The Range about retailers in the lower numbers (where an inefficiency to deal with complaints was highlighted).
