What a clean Christmas

Robot Vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, remote controlled mops and sanitising water jet toilet cleaners were in the top 10 cleaning tools given as Christmas gifts. The findings are based on an anonymous survey of over 2000 respondents conducted by End of Tenancy Cleaning London.

The number one cleaning gadget that was bought as a Christmas present in 2019 was an Electronics Cleaning Brush – designed to keep phones, computers and other electronics dust-free. 63% of Brits have admitted to purchasing this handy tool.

Robot Vacuum came close behind, at 57%, while Window Vac (45%), Steam Cleaner (34%) and Remote-Controlled Mop (26%) also made the top 5.

The Sanitising Wand and a device that is nicknamed the ‘Loogun’ took 6th and 7th place respectively. While most Sanitising Wands use UV-C light (approved by the NHS) to eliminate germs on surfaces and items, as well as destroy dust mites, devices like the ‘Loogun’ spray powerful jets of water into the toilet to clean “stubborn” marks – replacing the need for a traditional toilet brush.
