Amid speculation on the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on housewares manufactured in China (with continuing quarantines, checkpoints and road blocks affecting factory workforces), The Rainy Day Trust says that it will provide support for UK housewares companies.
Bryan Clover, ceo of the Rainy Day Trust states: “One of the consequences of the shutdown of a lot of China’s manufacturing sector is the supply of both raw materials and products to the UK markets. This in turn will impact on the industry’s ability to meet customer demand and could affect staff hours and employment.”
He continues: “If your business starts to feel the impact of the virus, even if it is short-term, and you feel that you need to review your workforce, please involve us from the very start as we can help with many of the issues that you may encounter. We can support both you and your staff.”
Brian concludes: “Of course, any contact with us will remain completely confidential, but we would prefer to get involved early and so have a preventative effect rather than a curative one. As always we are here to help”.
