BHETA’s housewares membership grows

The latest housewares brands to join the British Home Enhancement Trade Association (BHETA) include Katie Alice, Décor, Contigo. N&P Housewares also joined recently, representing different brands across various sectors.

The Katie Alice brand is known for vintage-inspired prints, especially florals (which enabled the creation of over ten successful ranges of tableware for Creative Tops.)  Along with Waitrose, the Katie Alice brand has also sold well in Debenhams, Fenwick, Sainsbury’s and Waterstones, as well as many independent shops around the UK, alongside an equally prolific export business.

Décor has been making homewares in Australia for over 60 years, producing products that fuse functionality with good looks, durability and affordability. With over 500 products in the Décor range including food storage, lunch, hydration, coolers, ice, garden, laundry, cleaning and more. The Décor Corporation UK targets retail channels including grocery, discount, department stores, hardware stores and garden centres.

The Contigo brand (belonging to Newell Rubbermaid UK) is known for its stylish travel mugs, water bottles and kids’ bottles.  Products are 100% BPA-free and spill proof, while its reusable travel mugs are water bottles are also leak proof for reliability and style.  Contigo is one of many top home and lifestyle brands.

“I’m delighted to see such established brands with such great design credentials joining BHETA to create new opportunities through the association’s extensive network of retail, export and business service contacts,” says Seema Grantham, BHETA’s sector manager for housewares.

Seema also welcomes N&P Housewares, describing it as “an experienced and personable route for housewares brands to access a greater proportion of the market and housewares retailers to source new products.”

Founded by Nick Gabb, N&P represent brands and product ranges selling to UK and international markets. The company works with a wide range of housewares categories ranging from utility, ironing boards and airers to more seasonal items like Christmas trees and lighting.
