My Gifts Trade and Jomafe join The Sustainability Library

Following the successful launch of the Sustainability Trail at Spring Fair 2020, the focus on sustainability continues for Autumn Fair 21 with the launch of The Sustainability Library and a host of onsite initiatives. The online library enables buyers to research and connect with sustainable brands at Autumn Fair (September 5-8 NEC Birmingham).

Home goods distributor My Gifts Trade and Portuguese manufacturer Jomafe have already signed up to Autumn Fair’s Sustainability Library, meaning that retailers can easily find new ceramic and kitchenware ranges with sustainable credentials.

My Gifts Trade highlights its Costa Nova Casafina and Urban Nature Culture ranges. Costa Nova is a Portuguese brand whose Plano and Lagoa tableware collections are made using the new Eco-Gres material – a reinvented clay, which is made of recycled materials.

Meanwhile Urban Nature Culture by Anne Marie Hermans is committed to transparency, paying fair wages to craftsmen, and using ‘new and planet-friendly sources, or secondary instead of new, raw materials.’  Other housewares brands and suppliers are to come on board as the Sustainability Library grows, and in the run-up to Spring Fair 2022.

Jessica Dawnay, Spring & Autumn Fair event director says: “We know it is important to both retailers and suppliers to place sustainability at the forefront of how we do business. We are striving to bring on board exciting and innovative sustainable businesses to the Spring and Autumn Fair line-ups and connect them with interested retailers in an easy-to-use format. The Sustainability Library is a fantastic research tool for buyers targeting sustainable brands.”

Each exhibitor that is part of The Sustainability Library will be marked with a leaf icon. The show has created several other icons to highlight specific sustainable initiatives (from biodegradable materials to recyclable packaging) that a brand or supplier has achieved or are working towards. These icons will be mirrored onsite at Autumn Fair with The Sustainability Trail and within the Show Guide.
