BHETA to host retailer networking webinar with Dobbies

The event will take place on Wednesday 3 May, 2023 at 3pm and Dobbies’ commercial director, Richard Hodges, will be the main speaker.

Richard will provide an update on the Dobbies business, its ownership, and its business strategy. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.

Dobbies was founded in 1865 when James Dobbie created a business selling seeds. The company went on to open garden centres that fast became go-to destinations. In 2019, the business acquired 37 more stores, more than doubling its national footprint. It is now the UK’s leading garden centre retailer with 75 centres nationwide.

BHETA’s DIY and gardening sector manager, Keeley Vernon, commented: “The chance to speak directly to Dobbies is obviously a great opportunity and we are expecting an excellent turn-out to hear Richard’s presentation.”

To register for the event, head to www.bheta.co.uk. The event is for members only, but non-members who would like to attend are invited to contact Keeley on 07398 840418, or Seema Grantham, BHETA’s sector manager for housewares and SDAs on 07946 078566.
