IndyBest ranks non-stick frying pans

The consumer testing platform from The Independent has been putting frying pans through their paces.

Testers used the pans in their kitchen, cooking a variety of dishes including steak, pancakes and a fry-up. Each pan was judged on how evenly it cooked the food, how well the non-stick surfaces cleaned, and how good the food tasted.

The testers also considered the weight of the pan, how much oil was needed during cooking and how easy it was to clean.

The IndyBest best frying pans for 2024 are:

Best non-stick frying pan overall – Ninja zerostick stainless steel 30cm frying pan.

Best budget non-stick frying pan – Progress shimmer frying pan.

Best non-stick griddle pan – Samuel Groves 26cm Britannia cast iron square griddle.

Best dishwasher safe non-stick frying pan – Smeg CKFF2401CRM frying pan cream.

Also making the top ten were pans from Salter, Le Creuset, ProCook, Dexam, Our Place and Kuhn Rikon.
