Lakeland named in Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024

Housewares retailer, Lakeland has been listed in the Best Big Organisations section of the annual list.

The guide said about Lakeland: ‘This family-owned Cumbrian retailer turns 60 this year and has grown to 1,107 staff – but still focuses on making each of them feel at home. Employees report a happiness rating of 74 per cent and give the CEO a 100 per cent approval score.

‘Long service is the norm and there is a strong leadership development programme. Lakeland supports local charities nominated by workers as well as national charity partners.’
