Talking Tables launches debut Diwali collection

The company recently partnered with John Lewis running four tablescaping events at the Brent Cross store in North London

Talking Tables has launched its first Diwali collection to tie in with Diwali which starts this Sunday (12 November). The collection features Diwali branded pieces as well as other items that can be used for other occasions throughout the year.

“To launch the collection, we partnered with John Lewis and ran four tablescaping events over the weekend at their Brent Cross store in North London,” explained Talking Tables’ brand manager Jo Jeffrey. “We were really delighted with the response, with so many people telling us that they were pleased to see Diwali being celebrated, with many using the table display as a backdrop for photos.”

Miriam Bridson, Talking Table’s senior marketing creative styled the tablescapes, while Deena Padhiar, the company’s financial controller, who celebrates Diwali, spoke about what the occasion means to her.

Additionally, the Talking Tables team handed out postcards featuring some top tablescaping tips. They included how to make the most of dinner candles to add height and character to the table. Another top tip was to re-use half burned down candles from a previous event to vary the heights of candles along the centre of the table.

Flowers and foliage were highlighted too, to add drama and height to a tablescape.
