With new kitchens often leading to demand for new kitchenware, there is good news for the housewares industry as new research by comparethemarket.com shows that kitchens are by far the most popular room of the house to renovate in the UK.
There were 153,000 UK searches for kitchenware renovation in the last year, beating the next most popular renovation category (conservatories) by nearly 64,500 searches.
The comparison website compiled its Renovation Nation report by examining Google search data from January 2020 to January 2021.
Looking globally, bathrooms are the top of worldwide renovations, with kitchens coming third, behind ‘renovating full home.’
