Wilko to dish up £3K Christmas for local heroes

Home and garden retailer Wilko has launched a nationwide search for six deserving individuals to win their entire Christmas, including festive tableware and cookware, for free, as a thank you for their hard work throughout the unsettled period of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The six winners of Wilko’s Bring Home Christmas competition will each receive a tailored prize package worth £3,000, that will include dinnerware and glasses to use for a festive celebration, as well as essentials for Christmas baking and cooking. The prize will also include Christmas gifts, £500 worth of Wilko vouchers, and a team of festive helpers who will festoon the winners’ homes with decorations.

Wilko would like some of its Christmas winners to reflect the outstanding work of its Together for Families charity programme partners: Alzheimer’s Society, Save the Children and Teenage Cancer Trust. Three of the six winners will be selected by these charity partners.

“We’re so excited to work alongside our Together for Families charity partners to get started on spreading some festive cheer for six hardworking people who went above and beyond to be helpful during the pandemic, which has touched everyone’s lives but particularly impacted upon those whose working or personal lives were already incredibly challenging,” comments Jerome Saint-Marc, Wiko’s ceo.

Nominations for the competition can be made up until November 21. See www.wilko.com/bring-christmas-home
