Reinvent your Home edit at Top Drawer

The Great Pottery Throw Down’s Keith Brymer Jones will be talking about his passion for pottery in one of the Meet the Maker sessions at Top Drawer, which opens this weekend (London Olympia, Sunday February 20 – Tuesday February 22).

The celebrity potter has just published his autobiography, Boy in a China Shop: Life, Clay and Everything and recently appeared on shows including ITV’s Lorraine and BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live. Keith will also be on the Forma House stand, showcasing new additions to his ceramic range by Make International.

Top Drawer highlights include a trends area, presented in collaboration with The Better Trends Company (TBTC), with four themes. These include Positive Re-inforcement, which is inspired by the need for fun, release, hope and joy. It is a playful, positive trend that reflects analogue past times and ‘90s influenced tactility. Patterns include marbling and florals, while colours are bright, including lime, accented with cobalt and orange.

The theme Slow Rituals is an appreciation of mindful moments in the home, with anxiety reducing rituals such as cooking and timeless, long lasting products. Everyday items are elevated to design statements with muted neutrals that are calming and meditative.

Meanwhile the theme New Heirlooms is a look back to the comforts of the past, driven by the desire for emotional connections and eco focused values, recreating history, family lineage and much-loved items for the future.

Lastly, Earthen Artistry is driven by the desire to re-engage with nature, to rewild and give back, with natural materials, traditional crafts and woodland inspiration. Patterns include floral and leaf prints, and colours include forest greens, browns and olives that are contrasted with clear blues and ambers.
