On your bike for The Rainy Day Trust

Could you stretch your legs for your industry charity, the Rainy Day Trust? Ride London – one of the greatest UK cycling events, returns to London on Sunday May 29 2022. RDT has three charity places for riders to take part and is seeking some amazing industry volunteers.

Bryan Clover, ceo at Rainy Day Trust said: “We all want to do our bit for charity, especially when it’s our own industry charity, and so raising funds whilst also having fun must surely appeal to the cyclists of the industry.”

This opportunity to ride 100 miles on traffic-free roads through the heart of London and neighbouring Essex is open to three riders – so whether you’re solo, or have a friend you ride with, we want to hear from you.

Riders will be expected to raise around £500 each, which by usual fund-raising standards should be possible. Progressive Housewares’ Rob Willis who is also a trustee for RDT said: “Full disclosure, I am part of the lycra mob. As a keen road cyclist I’d love to have grabbed one of these places, though sadly I will be abroad on that date. But… I encourage you to step forward, especially if you’re already a ‘roadie’, and I can promise that HousewaresNews.net and PH magazine will help drum up donations for your efforts. In fact, we will donate the first £50 to the first person to sign up, so you’re 10% of the way there from the off.”

Please contact Bryan or Rob to highlight your interest. On your right!
