Dexam extends recycled cotton offering

Textile specialist, Dexam, has launched three new textile ranges using recycled cotton.

The first new range, Meow, features black & white cats on a teal blue background. The Exotic Fruit range sports a vibrant design featuring bold exotic fruit and leaves on a blush pink background with teal contrast. Lastly, the Retro Spot range travels back in time from the 1970s to bring vintage style to the kitchen with spots in pink, orange, teal, yellow and blue.

All three ranges include an adult apron, double oven gloves, gauntlet and a set of two tea towels made from 65% recycled cotton. The cotton used has been sourced from offcuts that would have gone to landfill, reducing the water footprint associated with the growing and harvesting of virgin cotton.

Due to the nature of recycled cotton there might be a slight variation of colour between items, however this acts as a lasting reminder to the customer of their conscientious and one of a kind purchase.

Helen Boardman, Dexam’s product manager, said: “Our recycled cotton textile ranges are a beautiful example of our commitment to act as sustainably as possible within our environment. The three new designs tap into the latest interior trends.

“Our Exotic Fruit range nods to the movement of foliage and flowers on enlarged scales. The Meow range uses the trending teal blue/light cyan hues and our Retro Spot textiles mix a retro colour palette with iconic 70s geometric shapes and repeating patterns for a chic look.”
